Limya D'mello
Curriculum
Limya D'mello heads the Curriculum Department at Sandipani, the preschool brand run by Nachiketa Learnings Pvt. Ltd. She has been with the organisation since February 2018, bringing 10 years of experience in early childhood education to a role responsible for shaping how every Sandipani classroom teachers and learns.
In her role, Limya leads end-to-end curriculum planning, development, and continuous improvement — including planners, e-books, evaluations, assessments, and academic resources. She oversees teacher training and quality control to keep curriculum delivery consistent across branches, works closely with Centre Heads and teachers to resolve academic and operational needs, and manages parent communication on academic matters.
Limya joined Sandipani as Centre Head in February 2018, running branch operations for four years before moving into curriculum leadership in February 2022. Before Sandipani, she worked as a teacher at Tree House, and earlier held administrative and personal-assistant roles — including at Interfreight Forwarders Pvt. Ltd. and with a celebrity client — as well as a stint with Standard Chartered Bank's DSA channel on Demat accounts.
She counts creating Sandipani's Master Planners and helping shape the organisation's updated curriculum — including its preschool books — among the achievements she's most proud of, calling it a natural extension of her passion for education.
Limya holds a BA from Mumbai University, a graphic design certification from Aptech, and diplomas in Pre-Primary Teachers Training and Early Childhood Care and Education. She describes her working style as structured, collaborative, and improvement-focused, with particular emphasis on planning, teacher development, and maintaining quality standards. Her professional philosophy: "Keep learning, keep improving, and always keep the student at the center."
Outside work, Limya enjoys cooking, teaching, and decorating — activities she says let her be creative and connect with others. She hopes to one day work with an NGO focused on women's education and empowerment, contributing her time and skills to help women gain access to education and build independence.
